Das Ding ist schon klasse, klar … aber ich bleibe dabei: Hawes‘ vor-Knast-Musik (1957 ist die Zäsur, glaube ich?) hat eine andere Qualität, eine Frische, die ihm danach abhanden gekommen ist.
