Die habe ich auch. Gerald Wilson ist ein toller Bandleader, ein natural born Big Band Leader, der offenbar gar nicht anders kann, als auch in Zeiten, in denen Big Bands eigentlich nicht mehr en vogue sind, eine Big Band zu leiten. Da hört man die Swing Tradition, da hört man aber auch mindestens Gil Evans mit im Genom und wahrscheinlich noch viel mehr anderes, was ich aber gar nicht erkenne. Das ist so eine Verbindung von Flottem und Raffiniertem, von Spaß und Anspruch, wie es sie nicht oft gibt. Ich habe außerdem noch die Alben Moment Of Truth, Eternal Equinox und eine Best Of. Die sind auch alle sehr gut.
GW hatte mit Viva Tirado sogar mal einen Hit. Ganz großartig!
