– Oscar Peterson „Close Your Eyes“ und „Playboy Peteson“ (von der „Porgy and Bess“-Session – eingespielt, damit Russ Garcia eine Grundlage für seine Arrangements auf „Swinging Brass“ – die ich nicht kenne – hatte)

– Johnny Hodges/Dizzy Gillespie „Squatty Roo“ (ein Stück, das zufällig enstand, Dizzy war gerade „Have Trumpet, Will Excite“ fertig, als Hodges kam, der später „Back to Back“ mit Ellington aufnehmen sollte – man nahm also rasch ein Stück gemeinsam auf)
