Kennst Du die Ventura/Bill Harris Three Deuces CDs auf Highnote? Keine Ahnung, ob’s die Musik auch auf LP gab … aber am Ende ist das wohl (auch weil Harris so toll ist) für mich das beste von Ventura.
Bin selbst bei „Night Train“ inzwischen in den Bonustracks und erfreue mich über „Volare“ und besonders über „My Heart Belongs to Daddy“, eines meiner liebsten Cole Porter-Stücke … daneben gibt’s noch Outtakes von „Night Train“ (alt tk), „Moten Swing“ (rehearsal) sowie zwei weitere Stücke, die nicht auf die LP fanden: „Now’s the Time“ (inc) und „This Could Be the Start of Something“ (ein Remake der Version, die auf „Affinity“ erschien).
