Und ja, klar, der frühe Jamal … das Trio mit Gitarre und Bass ist auch sehr fein, aber das Trio mit Crosby/Fournier ist phantastisch! Das ganze Timing, die Phrasierung Jamals, der tighte Groove der Rhythmusgruppe … ich habe auch die obige Compilation sowie „Ahmad’s Blues“, eine CD auf der zwei Alben enthalten sind – aber die Mosaic-Box mit den ganzen Aufnahmen muss ich definitiv mal noch haben!
