Ich kenne Spencer zwar nicht so gut, aber ich tendiere dazu, ihn zu zählen, ja. Seine „Legends of Acid Jazz“ gehört (allerdings hinter den beiden von Rusty Bryant) auch auf Deine Einkaufsliste! Er taucht zudem ja auf Alben von Stitt, Stitt/Ammons (kennst Du beide, ja?), Bryant (die Hälfte von „Fire Eater“, auf Vol. 2 der LoAJ) und auch auf Donaldsons grossartigem „The Scorpion: Live at the Cadillac Club“ (Blue Note) auf. Das reicht für mich, um ihn zu zählen.
