CTI muss auch nicht gleich Dein Lieblingslabel werden! Manches darauf ist auch etwas grenzwertig. Für Puristen ist dieser Fusion-Jazz schon mal gar nichts! Finger weg davon! 
Aber es gibt da auch ein paar Perlen. Stanley Turrentine’s SUGAR ist eine davon. Enthält ja nur drei Stücke – von allerdings erheblicher Länge. SUGAR und SUNSHINE ALLEY sind bester Turrentine, und sogar souverän in die 70er übertragen. Aber hast Du auch mal auf ST’s Aufnahme von IMPRESSIONS geachtet? Läuft und läuft und läuft … Eine tolle Platte!
