Ein Pfui-Label natürlich, aber die CD war fast gratis und die Musik ist doch schön … in „I Want to Live“ sind Art Farmer, Frank Rosolino, Bud Shank (ohne Porsche), Pete Jolly, Red Mitchell und Shelly Manne zu hören, in der Soundtrack-Einspielung dann eine grössere Band unter Leitung von Mandel (u.a. mit Rosolino, Jack Sheldon, Milt Bernhart, Joe Maini, Bill Holman, Jolly, Russ Freeman, Manne, Red Mitchell, Mel Lewis, Larry Bunker…). Als Bonus gibt’s dann noch „The Subterraneans“ von Mulligan, wieder mit Farmer, dazu Bob Enevoldsen, Art Pepper, Freeman, Buddy Clark oder Mitchell und Dave Bailey oder Manne.
