The Satchmo Plays King Oliver album. An effort to repeat the success of the earlier tribute albums to W.C. Handy and Fats Waller. The original LP issue on Audio Fidelity has been re-released on Blue Moon 3067. The alternate takes came out on Chiaroscuro CR2002 vinyl release, and are pretty much unavailable on CD. „Snake Rag“ and „New Orleans Stomp“ were left off the original Audio Fidelity record, and included on the Chiaroscuro collection; they are both included on the Blue Moon CD.
