Die Imperial Sessions sind wunderbar! Besonders das Album mit Sonny Clark! Die paar Stücke mit Barney Kessel sind aber auch grossartig!
Die besten Criss-Alben sind aber jene, die er zwischen 1966 und 1969 auf Prestige gemacht hat, herausragend sind besonders: „This Is Criss!“, „Portrait of Sonny Criss“ und „Sonny’s Dream (Birth of the New Cool)“.
Zudem gefällt mir „Saturday Morning“ (Xanadu, 1975) auch sehr gut.
Musst Du unbedingt mal reinhören, wenn Dir die anderen Sachen gefallen!
