Hey guys-
A few words on the subject here. I’m sorry to see there’s been some issues with some of you getting pre-sale tickets through the new system but I can’t say I’m surprised. We’re trying.
Why did The Spiral go away? For one, I didn’t like the position it put me in. Whatever was or would have been offered is not enough for some of you and I don’t like feeling of not living up to your expectations / owing you something.
Next, the elitism / exclusivity was in conflict with what we realized we wanted from an internet presence. When the new nin.com comes to life, it aims to be the ultimate resource for all things NIN, open to all. Not a social network or a fan-club, a place that organizes info for and about NIN. It makes no sense to us to sequester that away.
Also, the vocal majority of you made it clear you didn’t want a paid fan-club and the price was too high. So… we’re trying this as a way to get tickets into the hands of the people who should have them. Ticketmaster sucks, scalpers suck, resellers like fucking Stub-Hub suck (for us), etc etc etc. That’s a sizable battle to take on and quite frankly one I don’t have the resources to fully attack at this point. I’m not making excuses here but keep in mind everything you’re seeing from us is coming from me, my management and Rob Sheridan. There is no label, staff or overhead budget and it’s a hell of a lot of things to deal with. We are trying to respond to what your needs and concerns are, we do pay attention and we’re still figuring this all out.
Thanks

Quelle
