Herr Rossi“Sloop John B“ ist als Single großartig, auf „Pet Sounds“ empfinde ich den Track auch als Fremdkörper.
Das empfand Brian Wilson auch so. Aber Capitol wollte unbedingt, dass „Sloop“ mit auf das Album kommt. Deshalb hat Brian den Track mittels des Instrumentals „Let’s Go Away for Awhile“ als dann letztes Stück auf der A-Seite vom Rest der Tracks abgekoppelt.
