Es wurde oben schon einmal angedeutet oder bereits geschrieben, dass Hitchhiker ein alter Song ist. Natürlich ist diese gitarrengewaltige Version nicht schlecht, aber mich würde das Original interessieren. Bemerkenswert ist dass Neil Young in diesem Lied schonungslos auf sein Leben zurückblickt.
Hitchhiker – 1992 solo shows. The song is based on Like An Inca from Trans with similar music, but (mostly) different lyrics. Some say that this was the „first“ version of Like An Inca, and developed into the released form over time. Another interpretation is that the song quotes the refrain of Like An Inca once as a joke, because the songs sound so similar…who knows?
Ob es als Indiz für die Qualität des neuen Albums taugt, ist also fraglich.
