Pete Rugolo ist im Alter von 95 Jahren verstorben. Er war von 1945 an für ein paar Jahre der Hauptarrangeur von Stan Kentons Band (hier ein schönes Foto), hat für Capitol Alben produziert (darunter Miles Davis‘ legendäres „Birth of the Cool“ – pardon, ist ja ne Compilation), auch seine eigenen Bands geleitet und mit ihnen aufgenommen und später Musik für diverse TV-Serien geschrieben.
