Kann die Filme eigentlich gar nicht einzeln bewerten, hatte aber vor ein paar Jahren mal Gelegenheit, fast das komplette Spätwerk (ich glaub von „Late Spring/Banshun“ bis zum letzten) zu sehen und war enorm beeindruckt. Davor kannte ich nur „Tokoy monogatari“. All die Filme mit Setsuko Hara und Chisu Ryu und besonders die mit ihnen beiden sind bezaubernd!
Die Ästhetik ist absolut zwingend, schlicht, statisch – unglaublich gut gemacht!
