Exclusive: listen to Laura Marling’s new album, I Speak Because I Can“
She was only 17 when critics began fawning over her debut album, Alas I Cannot Swim. Now, at the ripe old age of 20, folk singer Laura Marling is back with a new, very British album (think snow-covered England, blackberries and cold noses). To celebrate the release of I Speak Because I Can on March 22, Times Online brings you this exclusive stream of the album. Enjoy.
Quasi alle Erwartungen erfüllend… Großartige neue Version von „Blackberry Stone“. Und bei „I Speak Because I Can“ kommen Assoziationen zu Andrew Bird auf. Seltsam, aber sehr ansprechend. Brillianter, sehr transparenter, Tiefe vermittelnder Klang. Doch nicht aufwändig produziert. Zumindest macht’s nicht den Eindruck.
