Der Song „God“ von John Lennon berührt mich. Er erzeugt große Spannung.
Zuerst das Statement „God is a concept by which we measure our pain“, das jede Religion in Frage stellt. Dann die Passagen des Ausschließens bis nur noch eins bleibt an das er glaubt: an sich und Yoko. John komponierte den Song kurze Zeit nach der Auflösung der Beatles und zieht am Ende einen klaren Schlussstrich „The dream is over“ – aus und vorbei. Ich empfinde den Song als ein große Desillusionierung, deren Klarheit mich erschaudern lässt.
