In den frühen 60ern gab es eine Reihe von Girlpop-Songs, die damals schon umstritten waren (zumindest der Crystals-Titel), weil sie scheinbar Gewalt gegen Frauen romantisierten oder rechtfertigten. Ich vermute aber, dass hier, wie nicht selten in damaligen Pop-Texten, mehr oder weniger verklausuliert sexuelle Fantasien (SM) formuliert wurden; bei den Shirelles ist das recht eindeutig.
