Mick Harvey, geb. 1958 in Rochester, Australien, ist hauptsächlich bekannt als ewiger Sidekick von Nick Cave bei „The Birthday Party“ und „The Bad Seeds“. 2007 ist es Harvey gelungen, endgültig aus dem Schatten von Nick Cave herauszutreten, denn er hat mit „Two of diamonds“ eindeutig das schönste und beste Album veröffentlicht, welches aus dem Cave-Umfeld stammt. Nick Cave konnte da mit „Grinderman“ so gar nicht mithalten.
