12. Golden Smog – Glad and sorry

Auch Gary Louris ist offensichtlich ein rastloser Charakter. Denn seine Arbeit mit den Jayhawks lastet ihn offensichtlich nicht aus. Bereits seit Ende der 80-er Jahre ist Louris Mitglied bei Golden Smog. Diese Band ist ein Zusammenschluß diverser Musiker, so beispielsweise aus den Bands The Replacemnets, Soul Asylum, Wilco oder den Honeydogs. Ihr erstes komplettes Album nach einer EP-Veröffentlichung mit Cover-Versionen war 1996 „Down by the old mainstream„. Zwei weitere Alben folgten bis zum Erscheinen von „Blood on the slacks“ in 2007. Hier covern sie einen alten Faces-Song, words and music by Ronnie Lane.
