Gilby Clarke, Jahrgang 1962 aus Cleveland, Ohio, folgte 1991 Izzy Stradlin bei den Guns n‘ Roses nach. Vormals spielte er in den erfolglosen Combos „Candy“ und „Kill for Thrills“. 1994 verließ er Guns n‘ Roses dann wieder. 5 Soloalben hat er seitdem veröffentlicht. Sein Solodebut „Pawnshop guitars“ ist für mich mit Abstand sein gelungenstes Werk.
