Thank you for your letter. I’m sorry you are unhappy with the album track
listing. You must understand that commercial reasons were never taken into
account when organizing the album. We at Ruffa Lane Records/ Lucky Soul are not in this business sheerly to make money. If that was the case, we would have released sub standard B-Sides on multiple formats. Some bands will do this so you buy four or five different copies of the same single. We only ever consider releasing quality music and never put anything out that we’re not happy with.

Before I go on, some facts. The version of ‚My Brittle Heart‘ on the album is a
complete re-recording with a full string section which we felt was necessary for it to fit on the album. You do not own this version. Secondly, ‚My Brittle Heart, ‚Ain’t Never Been Cool‘ and ‚Struck Dumb‘ have never been released on anything other than very limited edition vinyl/ download and never on CD.

Would you prefer that fans without record players/ or computers could not listen to these tracks? Surely that would not be fair. Only 3 of these songs have had a full CD release. There is also a secret track on the album. That makes 3 songs out of 14 that have had a full CD release.

A song such as ‚Baby I’m Broke‘ made it onto the album because there was an
outcry among our fans when we suggested that it could be left out. I again
reiterate that everything on the album is put there for musical reasons only. We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy our music. You must also understand that although our profile is growing, we are still a small band on a small label and that not many people have heard our music.

I hope you this makes it all clear. We appreciate our fans and wouldn’t want them to feel hard done by. We’re only here to make the best music we can make. I hope you will continue to enjoy our music and come and see us play some time. We hope to be in Germany at some point this year.

In answer to your previous questions. ‚The Great Unwanted will be CD nd download only. And RUF001 was a double sided 12″ of to tracks called ‚Winter Sun‘ and ‚Meltin‘ Like A ’99‘ 250 were made but It was never released.

Thank you
Andrew
