Mit Jazz hat das ganze ja eh nichts zu tun… „adult pop“ oder sowas wär wohl eine bessere Bezeichnung (und ähnlich idiotisch wie das „contemporary“ Etickett) 
Sanborn? Heute wohl schon, früher hat er ja auch mal bei Gil Evans gespielt, z.B. Aber ein valabler Solist scheint er mir nicht wirklich zu sein, eher einer, der Licks reiht, „excitement guaranteed“, das sicher, aber mich langweilt das dann doch sehr schnell, hab seit wohl 15 Jahren nichts mehr von ihm gehört.
