Willie Nelson is ending the year on a high note with a tribute album
Nelson has made it to the top of the list in the world of country music. According to a new internet poll, an album by the star has been named country music’s album of the year.
The record that has been voted No.1 is Nelson’s tribute to songwriter Cindy Walker. „You Don’t Know Me: The Songs Of Cindy Walker“ topped albums by Vince Gill and The Wreckers on the list.
The 2006 poll was conducted by CMT.com.

Ich kenne nur die Alben von Nelson, Burke und Cash, die finden sich aber auch tatsächlich alle in meiner Top 10/2006 wieder. Freut mich insbesondere für Willlie, weil dieses wirklich tolle Album hier leider unverdientermaßen im Aufmerksamkeitsschatten von „songbird“ stand.
