Hab das Album dann auch soeben nochmal intensiv gehört. Auch meine bisherigen Eindrücke sind, in diesem Fall aber zum Glück, bestätigt worden.
Brachial aufgetürmte Arrangements neben absolut kargen Instrumentierungen, die Intimität in jeder Pore vermitteln. Nicht alles ist für Smith’sche Verhältnisse erste Wahl, aber ergreifend ist es allemal, wenn man sich vor Augen führt, wer hier in welcher Phase seines Lebens häufig über die Vergänglichkeit singt.
