on 9.40 off 11.10

our boy was complaining of a chest infection earlier in the day so he had to go see the doctor.
Consequently the entire show ran late and i thought he tried to play a mellow set to correspond to his mood.

Ryannegative comments because the set ended at 11 15. hmmm. this must have been more drama.
in my humble opinion, having been the guy that sang a lot of that set, i thought it was kind, soft, sweet, and sort of spaced out and represented where we are coming from musically as a band 100 percent.
so anything negative was coming from that side of the stage. neal didnt deserve the treatment he got and i wasnt any quieter or loud talking wise than i am normally, but i had a short fuse for audience holla back tonight. my choice.
on another note. shepards bush is as rad as i remember. great sound. really haunting and egg shaped almost inside.
the jams werent for us guys, the words werent for me, they were for you.
we were up there singing for you.
jams.
its all good. sorry if „the focus“ comes off as being cold. its just focus. im not up there for anything but the tunes and the jam these days so i make a wish that it stays chill.
thats all.

Bit of a mixed bag last night. Meadowlake Street was the undoubted highlight, with Dear John a close second. Ryan seemed pretty pissed off generally. The chest infection obviously didn’t help but then both he and Neil got really annoyed with people at the back of the standing area talking all through Neil’s set.

Ryan also really laid into some guy at the front before the last song. Couldn’t hear what the guy said but it clearly was not complimentary.

All things considered it was an OK show with one or two fantastic moments. Having said that, though, IMHO it was no where near as good as the solo set at the Victoria Apollo in February.
