Sal Mercuri sent an email to a VU discussion group I’m on with news! I would have expected someone to have mentioned it here by now, but no one has so here goes.
He said something like – yes Max’s 2CD is coming (December?) and 3rd alb 2CD package (w/ unreleased stuff and live material – no details offered) has been prepared but the band are still in dispute with Universal.
He was pretty clear that it was the band as a whole, but of course could not go into any details, but the legal problem mentioned before would seem not to be the Reed/Cale logjam that some (inc me) had assumed.He also mentioned a ‚lost 4th album‘ package, which sounds like VU/Another View revisited (and hopefully re-mixed).
He said: wait. He always says that.

Erfahrungsgemäß vergeht ca. 1 Jahr nach so einer Meldung, bis wirklich was erscheint. So war es zumindest bei den „Quine Tapes“ und bei der „VU&Nico Deluxe Edition“. Let´s see…. Ich bin auf jeden Fall schon ganz hibbelig!!!!!
