Die auf der ‚Stop The Clocks EP‘ befindliche ‚Cigarettes & Alcohol‘ Demo ist leider alles andere als unbekannt: Bereits im Jahre 1994 erschien sie auf einem Tape des NME und schlummert bestimmt auch bei euch auf der Festplatte oder auf einem Bootleg.
Oasis bekommen nach langer Durststrecke mal wieder einen Brit Award: Am 14.02.2007 wird ihnen der Outstanding Contribution To Music Award verliehen. Desweiteren wird die Band live performen. Peter Jamieson, der Vorsitzende der British Phonographic Industry dazu: „Oasis set the standard for many of the young rock bands who are currently enjoying success in the UK charts. As the Brit Awards goes live for the first time in nearly two decades, it is appropriate that we should honour one of the most exciting live acts the UK has produced.“
Noel spricht über den australischen Fußball: „Stick to the Aussie Rules and the tennis and the cricket and the rugby, you are good at that. Bonehead wird Manager des Songwriters ‚Vinny Peculiar‘ und seiner Band, die aus Mike Joyce (ex-Smiths) Craig Gannon (ex-Smiths), Karen Leatham (ex-Fall) und Ben Knott (ex-World of Twist’s) besteht. Bonehead dazu: „I’m good friends with Mike Joyce and over the summer he brought me a copy of the Vinny Peculiar album and I just couldn’t take it off the system. I loved it, especially the lyrics, I’d not heard anything like it for a long time. Technically it is the first time I’ve managed a band, although in the early days of Oasis I was pretty much roadie, organiser, everything. It’s a learning curve for me but I feel so passionately about the music.“
