Naja, ist ja kein „Abzug“ – sind ganz, ganz fantastische Songs, die sich die ****1/2 auch redlich verdienen. Der Schritt zu ***** ist da auch nicht weit.

The Big Picture kommt SO schlecht weg, da Method Acting meiner Meinung nach einen der besten Opener überhaupt abgegeben hätte. Nichtsdestotrotz ein wahnsinns Album: ****1/2 – ***** – je nach Laune. Manchmal ist es mir zu wechselhaft und unhomogen für die 5 Sterne.

das Album erscheint zunächst unglaublich sperring zu sein, äußerst lange Songs und überhaupt… Trotzdem passt irgendwie alles, es kommt keine Langeweile auf und die Platte ist unglaublich geschlossen. Keine Schwächen erkennbar.
Definitiv die Beste Bright Eyes für mich.

Habe nach Jahren den Zugang zu dem Album immer noch nicht so recht gefunden.
Auf die Dauer von 73 Minuten mir zu anstrengend, zu sehr Sammelsurium, zu zerfahren, zu unübersichtlich, zu konstruiert und gewollt, um in die Kategorie „Meisterwerk“ zu fallen.
