He played every instrument from drums to sleigh bells. Of course there’s guitars and pianos and claps and glockenspiels and harmonicas and organs and much, much, more.In fact Ben went for a much more layered and robust sound on this one. Taking nods from Springsteen, Petty, and Phil Spector.
It’s a great road trip album with lots of references to traveling, being free and going where the road takes you. There are some pretty emotionally heavy songs as well. Real tear jerkers. All the things you love about him really come alive on this album. And the title is simply, BEN KWELLER. We can’t give specific dates yet but the album is set for a US release in September 2006. A world tour is currently being set up.Right now Ben and Gil are mixing the album at London England’s famous RAK Studios.
