Bei Goldmine im R&B Price Guide finde ich z.B.:
„The title Rhythm&Blues is more of a problem. We have chosen not to strictly define „rhythm and blues“. No definition we could come up with really worked at well, and even the Billboard Music Charts have had a hard time with it. Both the name of the charts, and the kind of music that appeared on them, have changed many times over the years. Some of the names used over the years include „Harlem Hit Parade“, Race Records“, Rhythm & Blues“, Soul“ and, controversially in the 80s „Black“. Today the charts are called „R&B/Hip-Hop“.
