Fazit: Habe die Scheibe damals nach seinem Auftritt im Vorprogramm von Damien Rice in Hamburg gekauft. Hatte noch nie einen solchen Entertainer-Songwriter gesehen, der gleichzeitig ernsthaft, traurig und witzig ist. Auf dem Album kommen dann noch Poesie, Wut und Depression dazu. Geil, wie er im Hit „Me & Jiggs“ auf der porch sitzt und Townes Van Zandt singt. Leider einige Nick-Drake-Gedächtnis-Stücke drauf, die nicht so toll sind. Gebe mal ***1/2
