I have to say I’m pretty dissapointed with Houston ’78. The sound is muffled and flat with the guitars buried at times. I understand the importance of new video but find it hard to believe this inferior audio will stand as THE definitive document of (arguably) the greatest rock and roll tour ever. There are 6-8 shows already that sound much, much better. The video may be a little better than Largo but the sound is much worse.
I don’t see why their choice for the official release of live audio from ’78 was constrained by the availability of corresponding video? You can’t sum up Bruce in 1978 without a professional recording of the Prove It All Night intro (Phoenix doesn’t count).

Ich habe nämlich eine Handvoll Bootlegs in exzellenter Soundqualität. Auch Saffer schrieb oben etwas von Bootleg-Qualität. Ich habe diese Bootlegs bereits, ich will mehr als ein weiteres, extrem teures Bootleg.
