Since late last year, EMI has been working on a John Lennon reissue series to celebrate the 70th anniversary of his birth on Oct. 9, 1940. Initial plans call for the release of expanded editions of five of Lennon’s solo albums and, for the first time, a box set of his commercially released work. EMI has not announced release dates of any of the reissues nor the specific albums.
