I’m awake and you fucking whiners are in trouble – Toronto last night Reply
let me preface by saying I go back to the Whiskeytown days and I am not a Ryan syncophant – I will take the piss out of him when he deserves it. Last night he did not deserve it. I don’t know what the fuck you babies expect – but it was a very good show – kinda took me back to the w-town days a bit.
Yes, it was loose and it was almost all new songs and he had a couple of false starts but so what? (ever seen Paul Westerberg? I’ve seen him forget words, abandon songs and smash instruments -this is rock n roll fuckers – not Friday night at a hotel lounge)

OK -set list

Magnolia Mountain
Sweet Illusions
A Kiss Before I Go (?)
When Will You Come Back Home
Meadowlake Street
Beautiful Sorta
?
Now That You’re Gone
Let It Ride (fucking great)
Nightbirds (?)

2nd set

Easy Plateau (really good)
Shakedown (yeah!)
NY NY (aborted)
To Be Young (slowww version)
?
?
ended with a great rocker – something about trains (OK I was real drunk by then)

encore

Wonderwall
Why Do They Leave

Don’t think he doesn’t read reviews. He complained about a review of the Northampton show. („they said I sang in the wrong mike – I sing in this mike when I want to sound like a sad bastard“) as for the aborted NY NY he shrugged and said „my fucking guitar went out – what was I supposed to do?“

OK, so this was my 6th solo show (+ 2 Whiskeytown) can’t really rank it but it was very good. you whiners go watch American Idol where you fucking belong. also beas\r in mind I am hung over and things went pretty bad on a personal level last night so DO NOT FUCK WITH ME.
