Extrem lange Songtitel bleiben bei mir schon mal hängen, wenn es darum geht, welche Titel interessant und womöglich auch schön sind. In ihnen erkennt man eher Humor und Anliegen des Interpreten oder findet selber eher Interpretationsmöglichkeiten. Folgende benenne ich hier mal, ohne nachgelesen zu haben, ob sie schon genannt sind (wobei sich nicht hinter allen schönen Songtiteln schöne Songs verbergen):
– A distorted reality is now a necessity to be free (Elliott Smith)
– Good to know that if I ever need attention all I have to do is die (Brand New)
– I need some fine wine and you, you need to be nicer (The Cardigans)
– John Conquest, you’ve got enough dandruff on your collar to bread a veal cutlet (Buick MacKane)
– Maybe the people would be the times or between Clark and Hilldale (Love)
– She’s got a ring in his nose and a ring on her hand (Savoy Brown)
– Why log truck drivers rise earlier than students of Zen (Jackie Leven)
– You can’t hide a redneck under that hippy hair (Doug Sahm)
und aus deutschen Landen fällt mir da als erstes ein:
