The band begin work on their 10th studio album this week. (25.10.05)
In line with their 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th albums, the band will be using a one word title. This means keyboard player Damon Butcher’s idea of calling it ‚Sucked Off By Aliens‘ has had to be shelved ‚til album 11.
The line-up of the band will be the same as ‚Goldiggas…‘ but with a brand new producer. Ian Stanley-Watson-Fowler-Welch (real name Ian Stanley) has previously worked with Hal, Tears For Fears, The Pretenders and a host of hardcore/heavy metal/rap bands, including Butt Munch, Liars of Ohio and I Kill Kellok. A record company executive has described early rehearsal tapes as ‚the natural bridge between very early Paul Simon and very late Demis Roussos. Snail metal in fact‘.
The second phase of the new album is now complete, having spent four very successful weeks in Bakewell, with its rolling hills, romantic sunsets and a mobile recording studio on a farm… (02.01.06)
