Bill Martin über „Perpetual Change“ (Länge 8:50 min) von „The Yes Album“ (1971) von Yes:
„… there is that wonderful bass guitar figure that introduces the song proper: D-C-B-C-B-G-F#-G-A-A-D (the last D is an octave below the first). The „hook“ here is very reminiscent of Paul McCartney’s bass lines, reminding me especially of „Fixing a Hole“ from Sergeant Pepper’s.“
