Das ist jetzt alles etwas positiv geraten, aber wenn ich mir diese ganze Diskographie wieder mal vor Augen führe bin ich auch wieder total beeindruckt davon! Ein wirklich schlechtes Album? Schwer zu sagen, glaub nicht, dass es das von Mingus gibt… durchzogene, ja, das sehr wohl (& Friends in Concert, manches aus der Debut Zeit, das missratene Town Hall Concert von 1962), aber überall gibt’s was tolles zu entdecken (z.B. der Blues mit Gene Ammons auf „& Friends in Concert“), die Debut Box ist dafür wohl die tollste Fundgrube!
Das Candid Mosaic Set erhielte bestimmt auch fünf Sterne, aber leider hab ich da nur die einzelnen CDs…
