Zwanzig Jahre Musikhören in einer Liste … geht natürlich nicht, aber die zwanzig Stunden, die ich wohl gebraucht habe, um zu destillieren (darauf nachher einen Single Malt!) und zu ranken (was für eine absurde Sache, aber wir tun es ja doch die ganze Zeit), haben grossen Spass gemacht!

Besten Dank an den sparring partner und partner in crime redbeansandrice für seine Kritik verschiedener Vorläuferversionen, die im Lauf einer Woche zum Resultat unten führten.

Falls sich jemand über die Abwesenheit der Klassik wundert, die mir im vergangenen Jahr so lieb geworden ist – ich höre da sehr weniges in Albumform, verfolge Werke und ihre Interpretationen verschiedener Künstler. Herauszufinden, was auf welchem Album erstmals erschienen ist, wäre eine in absehbarer Zeit schlicht nicht zu meisternde Aufgabe, zudem ist fast alles noch zu frisch, so dass sich die Dinge erst noch herauskristallisieren müssten, die in meine Bestenlisten gehörten – die Alben, die ich gerade nennen könnte (Rubinstein mit Mozarts KV 491, Das Sonata Recital von Szigeti/Bartók, um zwei zu nennen) würden nur äusserst ungenügend meine Faszination abbilden, also habe ich gar nicht erst versucht, das unterzubringen.

Beim Erstellen der Liste unten wurde mir allerdings mit der Zeit klar, dass eine Top-50 ohne Jazz durchaus auch eine reizvolle Sache wäre – aber auch das braucht noch sehr viel Zeit (zumal die Dinge, die ich wiederhören müsste, momentan kaum in den Player finden).

Und zu guter letzt, als Korrektiv der Enge der Liste unten, verweise ich in Sachen Jazz gerne nochmal auf die viel umfassendere Liste, die ich vor einiger Zeit schon zusammengestellt habe, und die auch den Jazz aus den Jahren vor dem „Album“ berücksichtigt.
