Tom Waits mag skurrile Bilder, wenn es gilt, seine Arbeit zu beschreiben. So hat er auch sein neues Album auf seine Art charakterisiert. „Real Gone“ sei wie ein „alchimistisches Universum voller rasselnder Ketten, schwingender Rhythmen und Acht-Pfund-Hämmern“. Das klingt verdammt gut.
