Ich kenne auch zu Parker nur Liner Notes und Verstreutes … aber wenn Dich die Zeit im Allgemeinen interessiert, besorg Dir die zwei Bücher von Ira Gitler („Swing to Bop“ und „The Masters of Bebop“) – ersteres eine oral history mit unzähligen Statements von Musikern, letzteres Gitlers Überblick über die Musiker des Bebop, nach Instrumenten gruppiert (Dizzy & the Trumpet Players, Bud & the Pianists …) und beide sehr angenehm zu lesen.
