Morrissey’s nephew turns up book launch at waterstones, in manchester „Morrissey : Fandom, Representations and Identities“
and informs author of inaccuracies.;
At this point an impressively attired young man (who turned out to be Morrissey’s nephew) stood up and said „Yes, Morrissey has“. Whipping out and Ipad, he proceeded to read out a statement sent by Morrissey himself pointing out a inaccuracie in the book, to a statement in the book that Morrissey had his voice altered technologically on his last album.
, it dwelt on one point only, in Chapter Eleven, which asked if Morrissey had pitch-controlled his voice on ‚Skull‘. The statement made it clear that Morrissey had not altered his voice and went on to explain that singing in that high register was actually starting to damage Morrissey’s vocal cords, hence the shift down for later live performances.
