Das stimmt. Sollte er jedoch wiedererwartend zu sich kommen wird er durch die Hirnschäden die er erlitten hat ein permanenter Pflegefall sein. Eine ganz furchtbare Sache. Jerry ist noch sehr jung.
Es bleibt offen ob die VÖ Verschiebung von Years of Refusal damit zu tun hat? Kurz vor Weihnachten erscheint eine neue Doppel Best of der Smiths mit bereits hinlänglich bekannten Materialien u. ohne Morrisseys Zustimmung. Diese gab er genauso wenig zur anstehenden DVD VÖ von „Live at the Hollywood Bowl (im Oktober).
Die Verschiebung von Years of Refusal um ein halbes Jahr hat lediglich Morrisseys 50. Geburtstag im Mai 2009 als Grundlage. Ähnlich wie bei Weller erhofft man sich ein gutes Geschäft mit neuem Material eines vitalen Fünfzigers maßgeschneidert zum Wiegenfest. Überflüssig zu erwähnen, dass Morrissey solche Jubiläen verhasst sind u. er jetzt das neue Album promoten möchte.

MESSAGE FROM MORRISSEY.
The slapdash release of Morrissey live at the Hollywood Bowl is done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever, and is in breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made for the film between Warner and my ex-manager. Being Warner, predictably the sleeve art is appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds, and I urge people NOT to buy it. I am not signed to Warner, and no royalties from this dvd will come to me. Please spend your money elsewhere.

Years Of Refusal: New album release date and other information

At the wish of Universal Music, Years of refusal has been put back to a February 2nd release. There is also, at this stage, still no US label for the album since Morrissey withdrew from Decca US after their poor promotion for the Greatest hits release. There are no further live dates planned for the remainder of 2008.
It is understood that Warner Music in London are releasing a Smiths Greatest Hits album in the final quarter of 2008. This release is without Morrissey’s approval or involvement.
