Wagner: The Ring Cycle/Sir Georg Solti/V.P.O.
This is the Solti/Decca recording of Wagner’s complete Ring Cycle. Specially issued by Decca and made in England, the records and contents come in a deluxe wooden presentation box with vinyl covering. The set contains 22 discs, including three which make up the „Introduction To The Ring“ and Sigfried’s Idyll. The „Introduction“ consists of five sides of explanatory material plus some recorded examples to illustrate how this giant work is structured. The sixth side is the performance of the Idyll.
