Coming soon is the collaboration I produced with Riaan Vosloo and Keith and Julie Tippett. I loved Jim’ll Fix It as a kid but could never think of what to ask for. After I saw the kid who asked for (and received) his wish to punch his way out out of a massive paper bag it seemed there was nothing meaningful left to wish for.By the time I discovered the music of Keith Tippett and his wife Julie Tippett (formally Driscoll) on early sixties Albums like “Dedicated to You”, “Street Noise” and Septober Energy”, Jim’s show was off the air and I made do with wondering, ‘what if?’.
The Nostalgia 77 Sessions feat. Keith and Julie Tippett is out on Tru Thoughts early 2009. A seven inch single is available already featuring two tunes: Film Blues and Rainclouds.
