Apropos Live-Alben, ich habe mal dieses hier rausgeholt:
Cannonball Adderley Quintet – Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! – Live At „The Club“ (1967)
Das geht ab! Cannonball muss live ein Erlebnis gewesen sein, er war ja ein charismatischer Entertainer. Dieses Album ist zwar tatsächlich gar nicht in „The Club“ live aufgenommen worden, sondern in den Capitol Studios, aber live vor geladenem Publikum mit Freigetränken. Das tut der Athmosphäre natürlich nicht den geringsten Abbruch – im Gegenteil: Hier ist Party!
Enthält natürlich den namensgebenden Hit von Joe Zawinul, den ich sogar außerdem auf 7″-Single habe. Aber das ist eine andere Geschichte.
