Dave Douglas – Freak In (2003)
Ein Album, das schon-lang-nicht-mehr-gehört im Regal stand. Hatte ich im Erscheinungsjahr 2003 erworben. Auf der Cover-Rückseite Kabelgewirr und das ist für dieses stark elektrifizierte / elektronifizierte und nicht immer einfach zu hörende Album programmatisch. Eine Referenz sind sicher Miles‘ elektrische Sachen der 70er. Das hier ist aber noch mal freier, wirkt improvisierter, hektischer, läuft auch mal aus dem Ruder, hat tolle Momente geht aber auch manchmal auf die Nerven. Spannend ist es allemal!
