Es geht los mit einem Stück von Monks Nonett im November 1967 in Paris (solieren darf Clark Terry), dann folgen zwei vom Quartett beim 1966er Newport Jazz Festival (Rouse, Gales, Riley, in Paris plus Terry, Copeland, Cleveland, Woods und Griffin). Von Roach folgen dann zwei Stücke, die vermutlich im Februar oder März 1960 in Paris aufgenommen wurden, das Datum verrät die Besetzung: die Turrentine-Brüder, Priester und Boswell.
