Willi Carlisle – „Higher Lonesome“ (2024)
Wären wir noch in den frühen 70ern, würde man ihn einen „neuen Dylan“ nennen: Willi Carlisle, Songpoet mit akustischer Gitarre (bei anderen Songs mit Banjo), hier mit einer so emotionalen wie kraftvollen Performance eines, wie er sagt, autobiographischen Songs: Heartbreak und Einsamkeit, Drogen und Armut, ein Leben in den Südstaaten. „Higher Lonesome“ ist auf seinem bemerkenswerten neuen Album Critterland enthalten – Folkfreunde sollten mal reinhören.
